Glass Sliding Doors & Slide-And-Turn Glazing Installation in Outhouse in Javea

After an on-site inspection, our recommendation was to glaze the covered terrace with SF25 glass curtains and SF20 all-glass sliding system from Sunflex – means a “mixture” of both glazing systems.

The covered outdoor area has three “openings.” When choosing the glazing, it is
important to ensure that opening and closing the panels is always convenient and
not hindered by the other glazing.

Therefore, we opted for a combination of a sliding system and a slide-and-turn system, as the outdoor area on one side is equipped with a permanently installed seating area. For this opening, a slide-and-turn system was installed that allows the glass panels to open outward (for optimal securing of the individual glass panels when opened, we custom-made a special floor bracket).

In the adjacent opening, we installed a slide-and-turn system that opens the glass panels inward – an outward opening would not be advantageous in this case, as the opened glass panels would otherwise be directly next to the pool, causing an obstruction.

For the side opening, we installed an SF20 sliding system, which the customer also preferred. This sliding system also serves as the “entrance” to the outdoor area and is secured by a lockable mechanism. The slide-and-turn systems can only be opened from the inside using a twist knob.
