Installation: Terrace glazing Sunflex SF20 all-glass sliding system
Background
The customer wanted a change to make better use of their terrace. The terrace is not spacious, it has a shallow depth, so a well-considered solution was needed to optimise the use of the terrace.
Solution
After an on-site inspection, our recommendation was to glaze the patio with an allglass sliding system (SF20) from Sunflex.
We installed this patio glazing on the outside of the patio so that the customer
could make optimum use of the space. If it had been installed on the inside, the
customer would have lost a lot of space due to the supporting pillars of the terrace.
As a further recommendation, we installed the sliding system ‘glass edge to glass edge’, i.e. without disruptive profile in the corner.
We also had to move the existing awning further up, otherwise the passage height would have been too low. We produced special brackets for the awning that not only guarantee a stable attachment, but we also had to adapt them so that the folding arms can be opened safely over the glazing when the awning is extended. Otherwise the folding arms would have brushed against the glazing.
