Background
The customer experiences strong winds from one side on their terrace and low autumn sun, making optimal use of the terrace impossible.
Solution
After an on-site inspection, we recommended the Sunflex SF25 (sliding-turn system / glass curtains) to the customer, which can be fully opened in spring and summer and kept closed in autumn and winter due to the strong winds from that side.
A sliding system was not advisable because the narrow opening would result in a significant loss of opening space. For the low autumn sun, we suggested a Stobag Casabox (rounded box – fullcasette). This is a full-cassette awning, where the angle of inclination can be easily adjusted. For the customer, this means the awning can be extended with a smaller angle in spring and summer, while in autumn and winter, the angle can be lowered further to prevent the low sun from disturbing the terrace. The customer also opted for a motorized version (instead of a manual crank).
Result
Thanks to the combination of the Sunflex SF25 sliding-turn system and Stobag Casabox, the customer was now able to comfortably use his terrace all year round. The strong winds were effectively blocked, while the low autumn sun was no longer a problem. The customer is extremely satisfied with the result.
